What makes the kork-ease sandals my favorites, and so versatile for evening, daywear or even beachwear is that the straps are all leather, so after a week or two of wearing them they just seem to take on the shape of my feet (which happen to be rather large at a size 10), and the heel is super light because it’s cork so it doesn’t matter if they’re high or low – I feel like I’m floating. The best thing is that they have a rubber sole, which is great for grip even on the slippery docks near the seashore.
I have another pair of really funky ladies wedge sandals in white patent leather that aren’t even high heels (I think they’re only about a 1 inch wedge sandal), and in fact they’re sold as beach sandal, but although the low wedge is cork, the soles are made of something stiff (it’s suppose to be leather, but it feels more like a wood veneer from a kitchen counter top) and I feel like I’m always sliding or slipping especially on tiles or stone.
8:00AM: I’ve had my coffee, fed my cats, written a blog post and now I’m off, me and my wedge sandals, to swim in the Mediterranean sea. Oh ya…sometimes life is very good!
